Once again today's been super busy. With Ricky having to deal with more important issues it was left up to me to desk drive Smoke Signal where just an hour before air I came up with the idea of putting a little montage together for presenter Ali O'Boyle as this particular edition was her last programme for Smoke Radio. I managed to get it done just before air and it can be found here.
I also got sent out with Chris Jones onto the courtyard during his show to use his box of crafts to produce our equivalent of a big Art Attack which I will upload as a photo on the blog ASAP.
A really good show to round things off this year too, with radio battleships putting Dan P and Jacko against each other in a very amusing contest.
In between all this lark I managed to get hold of a few more birthday cards from halls reception as well as some very welcome presents! These included Richard Herring's DVD of "Hercules Terrace" stand-up and the most welcome present of all, two DVDs from James2001 containing the first two episodes of The Chart Show broadcast on ITV in January 1989 and the first edition with the new graphics from December 1991.
I've also made an order for the DVD of "Someone Like's Yoghurt" which came out this week and hopefully if it's arrived it will be kept at home in time for my brief return on Sunday.
Right now though it's straight back to the flat to get showered, shaved and dressed smartly for tonight's awards. I'm really nervous now.
