"We're Not Scared Of Bob Holness"

Not intended to be seen by viewers, many television stations throughout the 70s and 80s compiled Christmas tapes for the staff comprising of outtakes and spoofs. Thanks to the internet they have gained a bit of a cult following and here is one such example from Central Television in 1984. The highlight has to be the song parody of "Blockbusters" around 5:45 in, turning Ray Parker Jr's hit from the same year into a tribute to the popular teatime quiz. If they start showing vintage episodes on Ftn I'll be hooked.

Another pretty quiet day up in Studio 6 with a visit from Chris, Phil and Stoobie who will be heading up to Fabric tonight. I'll be taking it easy despite a Facebook invitation to Area 51 which means they're probably desperate. Instead I'll be enjoying a delicious chicken stew with pasta bows and watching the documentaries on Doctor Who's "Survival" episode.
The commentaries are pretty interesting and amusing with a few digs at the animatronic cats they used as a result of not getting the real ones to stay still. Script editor Andrew Cartmel suggesting that they look similar to Harry Hill's puppet moggy Stouffer.
Co-star Sophie Aldred also revealed that her character Ace had a snide response to the line "One finger can be a deadly weapon" but it couldn't be used for obvious reasons.

I really don't know how I'm going to spend tomorrow. By the time S(4)S starts in two weeks this blog will become more interesting.
