Six hours at the Undercroft last night haven't left me in the best of conditions this morning.
I have a rather uncomfortable throat and am feeling very unmotivated towards the chores that need doing throughout the day.
Anyway, late yesterday afternoon I went with Chris, Phil and Stoobie to the Marylebone campus to collect the posters and flyers promoting S(4)S. We attempted to stick them up wherever we could on that particular campus although we weren't too sucessfull at the Intermission bar and the Marylebone halls of residence was rather cramped so we decided to put one in the lift of the tall tower. We've still got quite a few left and they'll be decorating many a pillar by Monday.
After arriving back I headed down to the Undercroft where several third year media students were around having a few drinks to celebrate the handing in of their dissertations. Not many of them were radio students however as a lot of them had gone out for a meal in Central London. However quite a few TV and Journalism students were there including Lucy, Martin and Natasha who was trying to get as many people as she could to head down to Cheapskates in Central. The only lecturer there was Patrick from journalism who stayed there for quite a bit and I reckon a lot of people will continue to use his voice for radio projects in the next year onwards.
Later on the lights were dimmed, the chairs were moved and Decio was spinning the discs which as always resulted in me falling on the wet floor multiple times and straining my throat. If I ever have a big celebratory do I will certainly invite him to play the records. It was starting to get a bit quiet around midnight at which point Joey, Dan P and Tom from the third year Radio class arrived and they look pretty much set for next weeks broadcasts. Towards 1am they were playing UB40, Bob Marley and even Peter Andre's "Mysterious Girl" so you could imagine I was almost wasted.
Hence the fact that I'm now up here in a mood of uncertainty and want to get a few answers to some questions that are worrying me, primarily the whereabouts of my laptop. I shall give Microlink a call this morning and hope for the best. Otherwise it's business as usual.
