Load Of Bow Locks

This brought back a few memories "One Lump Or Two" on Channel 4's Big Breakfast in 1993 which has to have one of the most catchiest tunes ever written! This was one of the memorable highlights of the programme during it's early years with Chris and Gaby at the helm and really set the standard for television overall during it's time on air.
A giant teacup wouldn't have gone amiss with the rather wet antics that took place at the Northwick Mansion yesterday.

From the same user, I also managed to find this, what was probably a very low point of the show when in order to save falling ratings someone came up with the idea of giving the house a revamp along with a new presenting team. I can remember watching this back in September 1996 and immediately thought "what the hell?". The addition of showing a photo of what the house used to look like clearly defines the term "rubbing salt into the wound".
For me this has to be one of the worst relaunches of a television programme I have ever seen and you can tell by the empty atmosphere and lack of enthusiasm when presenter Sharon Davies gives a grand tour of the house.

Thankfully this didn't last long as Sharon left the show around Spring 1997 and things started to change back to how they were albeit with another re-arrangement of the theme tune to give it more of a fresh britpop sounding feel. With the arrival of Johnny Vaughan later on in the year mornings once again became worth getting up for, without being too wacky like it was with Evans etc. Rick Adams on the other hand went back to radio including a six month stint on the Sunday evening slot at Invicta FM which was clearly a breath of fresh air for the music heavy station at the time.

It's shocking to realise that two million pounds was wasted on this and they had to spend more money within the next two years changing it back. Also note the pointless additions such as the swimming pool and the bandstand at the back of the garden. They did find a use for it eventually when Johnny Vaughan christened it as the "Steps Of Woe" where various crew members would be sent to, accompanied by that infamous chant to the tune of "Rock And Roll Part 2".
A tune that George W Bush once used for his presedential campaign oddly enough.
