The Poor Man's Tinseltown

The arrival of a film crew on the Harrow Campus has added more excitement as we found out that they are using one of the TV studios to shoot a scene for the latest Batman movie. From what we've heard the caped crusader isn't actually present but the actors playing the Joker and the Mayor of Gotham city will be around tomorrow when the shooting takes place.
Hopefully the shooting won't stop any of us getting into the studios tomorrow, especially as there are a few more shows that need to be pre-recorded.

As for me it looks as if I won't be alone for my show on the Wednesday as I've got both Tudor and fellow TV student Alex Hill recording me in action for the video podcast and as is normally the case for these sorts of events I will have a female on hand during proceedings. This time it's Kelly from the first year who will be adding that extra, much needed sparkle to the show.

I'm just putting a few finishing touches to some more show promos including my own funnily enough, which I will upload probably in my next post. As a matter of fact I've got to sort out my pre-recorded feature for the show; the Top 5 Summer Slush Puppies but don't worry, I won't be including Agadoo or DJ Otzi in there.

With the news of Tony Blair's resignation, tonight's Have I Got News For You should be an enjoyable watch with Kirsty Young returning as the host. Hopefully they'll show the edited version of his speech after winning the 2005 elections. It wouldn't suprise many people if the outgoing leader ended up as a guest host for the show. For me that would be an ideal reason for his retirement.
