The finishing touches were made to the group website after a few minor tweaks with the layers and pictures. You can see the finished result here and have a gander through my attempt at making a web page where myself and Paul both agreed that the links page was the most visually interesting out of all of them. However on viewing the site myself I've discovered a few broken links which has made me feel a bit deflated but it's only my first attempt at this sort of a website. Tomorrow we'll be set the brief for the next assignment which I'm guessing is going to be even worse than this one.
The rest of the day has been spent preparing everything for tomorrow's "Big Red One" and everyone has been busy in preparation. The demand for studios was insane until early evening so the Live Variety duo wrangled their way into Studio 4 to pre-rec their show for tomorrow where we had a bit of a problem with the Mini Disc player. As Ross had recorded most of the shows music onto MD and the MD player was only programmed to record audio I had to rush into the room next door to dub it into Cool Edit and get it loaded in the studio for it to be played. I also felt rather embarrassed after I provided the boys with audio of the Abbott and Costello sketch "Who's on First" and having never heard it before Paul introduced them as if they were the same sort of act as Flanders and Swann!
Despite that it all blended in well together with quite a lot of Tom Lehrer towards the end and it should be a more than welcome addition to our line up.
I've still got to sort my show out between the hours of 3 and 4am, which appears to be lacking on features of any sort. IHowever I've only just come up with a little game involving the music of the papier mache manc Frank Sidebottom. If you're lucky enough to remember him then you'll have an idea of how ridiculous it will sound. However most of the jingles and beds have been sorted thanks to Ricky giving me a CD with liners recorded by the legend that is Brian Blessed!
I'll try and upload a few examples of them soon or even better listen in any time from midday tomorrow to hear what looks set to be our most prestigous event yet.
