I headed to the library just before 8pm to return my library books and then went up to the studios to find Studio 6 empty as Seb and Jon hadn't turned up to do their show.
I'm so glad I switched from Thursdays to Wednesdays at the start of the semester as having to do two hours every other week would be quite a task. I've also noticed that those who haven't turn up to do their shows more often than others tend to be second year radio students which probably goes to show that the course takes it's toll for some.
It looked as if the Shuffle boys wouldn't show up as well and I was half right. Adam was ill so Zo and Harjeet were in control having arrived 15 minutes later than planned.
I was also given a few of Adam's CDs to look after until he recovers although it will certainly kill time for me this weekend.
It wasn't completely unoccupied as Ben and Jason were recording their "Late, Early Breakfast Show" in the studio next door where they had managed to discover how to work the echo machine which could be of good use especially with the 24 hour broadcast approaching. I bet Tudor with his eccentric delivery would benefit heavilly from that part of the studio desk.
As for my phone issue, I'm not sure whether it's the battery or the phone itself that's messed up. I guess the simplest way to find out would be to borrow someone elses battery in lectures tomorrow although a new phone has been long overdue.
