I headed over to Central just before 1pm for the planned meeting but as I could barely see any Harrownians present I decided to head back rather promptly. I decided to head over to todays Media Events lecture only to find out that it had been cancelled because of this meeting on the Marylebone Campus much to the irritation of those who had travelled quite a way to be there.
The next stop was RP1 where the first years were finishing off their short features and even got to listen to a few including Stoobie's one on the RSPCA and Phil Harris's attempt to stay awake for 24 hours as part of an investigation into insomnia.
There's a rather controversial issue with most of the evening presenters at Smoke as we've all been asked to use Studio 4 in order for students from other courses to use 5 and 6, and this particular studio requires more than just basic training. Tudor definitely had something to rant about on his show tonight as the CD players are poorly organised with CD 1 being positioned below CD player 2 and the fader for the jingles is the same as one of the CD players so it can get very fiddly switching outputs because both can't be used at the same time.
Josie who was on before had enough trouble burning her CD with the tracks for her show so she refused point blank and opted for Studio 5 through the magic of the matrix fader.
On a lighter side the title of this blog post relates to a certain JamesTV2001 who on Youtube has uploaded the 1991 Special of The ITV Chart Show and an edition from the 22nd of June from the same year. However I'm still keeping my vow not to watch them in full until I've finished the podcasting module.
The latter edition is interesting however as they accidentally used the opening titles from early 1989 when it was just "The Chart Show" instead of "ITV Chart Show".
Which brings to mind a question that has been bugging me for a while, why do The Vault have to remove the ITV logo from the repeats on their channel whilst channels such as Ftn and Challenge leave them intact from the endcaps of their programmes repeated on the channels like the one below?

When I get back to Canterbury I really am going to have to upload some of my own gems from my mountain of VHSs.
