If there's one thing we should have been told right at the beginning of this year it would be a suggestion to preserve the audio we record for either our features or live shows for the Internet Radio module. The brief for the web page assignment we're currently doing asks us to include four clips of audio each lasting between 5 to 10 minutes which I think is overkill. A length of two to four minutes would be a lot fairer especially as I have struggled to find any decent material from my raw interviews for my Tarot feature. However I've managed to put three pieces of audio together so far with just one remaining, and as the web pages are going to be uploaded to the public is anyone really going lend their ears for that long?
I particuarly feel sorry for those who have to go through the raw audio on the SADiE machines where we did our features as they are very tricky to use and we don't have the staff available at all times to give us a hand if were unsure how to find the audio leaving me to tie the loose ends.
I may take advantage of the visit up to Canterbury this weekend as Dad is quite an expert on Dreamweaver and I'm sure he'll be able to explain the basics of professional web design so I can understand them.
