Blammy's Blog: A Pretender To The Throne

With this blog in the last month or so becoming a showcase for my many music tangents I've managed to find another site that is entirely devoted to exactly that and probably does a better job than I do.
Pop Unlimited run by AcerBen contains posts devoted to several records mainly from the 80s and 90s that we'd all thought we'd forgotten. I really like the header at the top of the page based on the Top Of The Pops logo from the "Year Zero" era of the early 90s.

Such "classics" include TV tie-ins North and South who's biggest hit was "I'm A Man Not A Boy" from their CBBC series "No Sweat". And there's also a few really talented vocalists who had moderate long term success including the stunning Conner Reeves, who around the same time as North and South had releases such as "My Father's Son" and "Read My Mind". Nowadays he's writing for artists such as Joss Stone and despite my rather cynical comments in the past I think her current album isn't too bad.

I could go on for ages but I'd end up stealing the content off Ben's site so I guess I'll leave him to wax lyrical. But that site is definitely going on the links column at the right of the page.
