Another of the finest arrivals to our station came in December when the Dry Ice girls made their debut. I've just had a listen back to their first show and in this weather with the sun setting it's just perfect accompaniment. Some of the tracks used in the first show included "Think Twice" by Ralph Myers, a lesser known tune from Groove Armada called "Little By Little" and the 4hero classic "Les Fleur".
This was definitely one of the shows that progressed throughout the year with Emma and Phoebe gaining more confidence and providing something which definitley stood out on the station.
For the first few months they were also joined by "token northener" Jenny who had a voice very similar to that of Liz Kershaw.
However she headed back home to Doncaster halfway through the year and it more or less became a dual presented show which ideally should be the maximum amount of voices on a radio show focusing on a particular genre of music.
The girls had a habit of taking photos of their studio antics while the records were playing and took a rather unpleasant looking one of me off guard. Thankfully it hasn't been uploaded for everyone else to see. I'm hoping to hear more from them come Autumn which is always my least favourite time of year for any reason.
