More musical enlightenment has been on offer for me tonight, this time in the form of the Shuffle boys with the theme being on Robbers. And some fantastic reggae and dub tracks featured including Toots and The Maytals "54-46 Was My Number", the Thievery Corporation with the similar sounding "38,45", and a stunning dub track from the Clash based around "Bankrobber" called "Robber Dub". Ideal listening for these rather warm conditions with the windows open.
Adam and Zo actually got the idea for the programme from the stolen Stylus needle in Studio 6 which prevented them from having the well deserved opportunity of playing vinyl. Nowadays we don't have any record players at all which defeats the purpose completely although I'm lucky I managed to get my vinyl copy of "Everyday" by Incognito dubbed before the disapearance.
This really is the ideal way of killing time over the summer without spending any bob. At least it shows that all those hours in RP1 paid off.
