I could see it coming eventually, the Vault it seems have finally pulled the plug on the vintage episodes of The Chart Show from their digital channel as of this morning.
I'm a tiny bit gutted although they barely made any effort to promote the programmes on the sister channels owned by the company such as B4, Pop and Flaunt which was a pity.
However I've still got stacks of episodes I haven't seen yet on DVD-R including loads from the fairground era which I'm keeping safe until the nights I get more than a bit tipsy at Uni, especially for when the third year is nearing an end.
I'm hoping that James will send me the remaining episodes as well which included one or two sponsorless episodes from early 1997 and one originally shown four weeks before the show's untimely demise in August 1998.
Nothing's been officially confirmed as a few people are waiting for an e-mail reply from one of the Vault's programmers although as it mentions on the Digital Spy thread, it kept a small but dedicated audience entertained.
To be honest I'm glad I'm deprived of Sky Digital because as mentioned before, I believe you have to work towards something as good as this and I would be feeling pretty depressed if I watched all these episodes on a weekly basis and switched on this morning to see sod all.
Overall there is such a thing as having too much of a good time.
