The Exploding Record Trunk

My Traxsource wishlist is up to just under 200 tracks to the point that I could probably ending up presenting a show devoted entirely to soulful house. But overall it means that during the third year there is absolutley no excuse to get depressed if I've had a crap day or whatever and I reckon if more people took a similar musical route then the world would really be a happier place. Well the Harrow campus at least. Then again I suppose it's good to be different so I can't complain.

I've managed to find some more gems on the listen again dial including DJ Fitz's Gospel Vibrations on 1Xtra. A very good selection of contemporary gospel including quite a few soulful house tracks too and the presenter isn't too bad neither, even if he does support Liverpool!
However it's his taste in music that's important as opposed to football and some cracking tracks from the likes of DJ Spinna, Kenny Bobien and Barbara Walker.
The superb thing about 1Xtra is that it's not all a mish mash of hip hop, dancefloor and house, and you know exactly what you're getting with the specialist shows.

I may need to have a few words with fellow radio student Ross Powell who'll be paying a visit there in August to give Jenna G a hand.
