I did have a lie in this morning which I'd say was well spent and as soon as I got up I was up to more DVD burning, archiving all my downloads from the last month or so, and a few vintage episodes of Countdown.
It's a rather empty day again where I'm doing my own cooking later, although even better is that tonight sees the return of what has to be my favourite show on television. Even beating Britain's Got Talent.
Yes, Mock The Week makes a long-awaited return to our screens in it's seventh series although for me personally the wait in between series hasn't seemed to have lasted as long as last year.
Dara O'Briain's guesting on This Morning later today which should add to the anticipation although Frankie Boyle joked in a London newspaper towards the end of last year that in light of the Daily Mail controversy over his joke about the queen from a repeat episode, he was practising conjuring tricks for the new series.
I'm pretty certain that it won't lose the edge although in his Radio Times interview, Frankie mentioned that you were allowed to use the f-word provided it wasn't a verb. Which means he probably wouldn't be allowed to do any more jokes like this.
To get us in the mood, a round of Scenes We'd Like To See in audio form that oddly enough I didn't include in my compilation I posted last month for some reason or other, "Unlikely Things To Hear On Comic Relief" as done in Series 4.
Frankie Boyle, and Jo Caulfield's suggestions are brilliant, but my favourite for obvious reasons has to be Russell Howard's at 0.51.
With Mitchell and Webb following after, I'm certain there may be a few cackles coming from the top floor of my house tonight.
