"Sami's Shrine" (Or "Another Potential 'Episode')

I'm in an agitated mood yet again, over some of the most ridiculous reasons involving others from University who I seem to think are having a ball whilst I'm in not such a good position.

The reality may be that things might not be that good at all but I'm feeling extremely left out and feel as if I'm in some sort of theoretical perspex box that I can't get out of.

A lot of my blog posts recently have been of a similar nature and I can understand that they may frustrate (and inevitably end up losing) a lot of readers.

But I've always kept Sami's words in mind that I wrote here a few weeks ago saying that things feel better when you write them down.

I keep mentioning her an awful lot as well as if it's some mentally induced crush of some sort so I'll take the above advice and admit that yes,

It bloody is.

The many photos that have been published on my blog have more or less said it.

Just to see us both smiling and that because we're only a few weeks apart in age coincides that we share things in common and it feels as if we knew each other from birth.

Even to the point of talking like toddlers.

But I'm responsible enough to accept that we're distances apart, she already has a partner and I can be sensible about it.

There's nothing to stop me howeer from going on about imaginary social situations (and involving other different people as well) that would normally be positioned on a delightful English beach at sunset.

Anyone reading this would have it in their head by saying "well if you keep going on about beaches, why don't you go and fucking live there?"

Because believe me, I've seen stupid things written on, and spoken in video blogs that have me shouting at my computer monitor in the same way.

I'm ever so glad I'm not in a job similar to the one that I had at ASDA because I really would be an utter wreck.

However, music is an ever calming source for agrravating situations, although I have to find the specific ideal calming/passionate tune for such a situation and I've found two that have relieved my aggro perfectly.

The first being "Lady Laurie" by flute player Dave Valentin which is an early 90s instrumental jazz track from the GRP label that as you would expect is synthy and contains some really sweet chords positioned at the right points.

And no nonsensical jamming.

The second is one is a more calming cover that I've mentioned several times on the site, Al Jarreau and "Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay". The piano chords and Al's superb vocals make the Otis Redding version seem otherwise "ordinary" and it's just bliss.

That's ideal stress soothing music.

I apologise if this is rather manic, but it could probably also be something to do with the extremley warm temperatures outside.

Thankfully they won't last by tomorrow from what we've been told.

Although as is normally the case I'd much rather be in some sort of coma for the rest of the summer.

In fact I may not even bother waking up tomorrow, certainly not at 7am or 7:30 when I normally get up.

It may be better by then however.

Spanish friend of the family Concha has invited me over for lunch which normally involves her absolutely delcious basmati rice made very carefully by boiling it in oil before seiving it and then putting it in the boiling water.

It's a bit complicated to explain but it's really lovely when made in the end.

Maybe it's best to just let little things make the most enjoyable parts of how things are now.

And there's nothing to get in the way of "thought showering" ideal social places and situations which give a new meaning to the otherwise hilarious idea of "Scenes I'd Like To See".

Good Night.
