Rough Around The Edges

I went to Concha's as planned this afternoon where she made a delicious lunch and told me about tomorrow where she will be going with my Mum and Dad and a few others to the Globe which they normally plan around this time of the year.

I could never see myself wanting to sit through a Shakespeare play but then again, it could be possibly more interesting than sitting through a lot of musical incomprehensibility at an Outhouse concert.

Apart from that I've been burning more DVD-Rs where I'm now up to date in backing up my album .rar files up to June with the July folder only just started.

I also received an e-mail from Smooth in London and it turns out that I haven't been accepted for a work placement this Autumn.

At least it means I won't have to worry about any early starts and to show that I'm not bitter, some vintage audio
from way back when sending up
the man I would have been working for, courtesy of Paul McKenna
and Anthony James.

On the plus side I'm still meeting up with Paul from Wise Buddah although it's now happening on the 14th so I'm hoping nothing comes up between then.

This weekend PY will be making two appearances on Jazz FM as he's standing in for Robbie this Sunday morning. Peter himself has also been a victim of the Bastard Brothers although this clip is probably less derogatory than some of the others who got the mickey taken out of them.

Helen Mayhew also has a new show on Sundays taking over from Anthony Davies's Jazz Legends in addition to presenting Dinner Jazz between Wednesday and Friday.

Good to have her back at the station after what all the other places she's worked for have given her.

It should be an enjoyable weekend with no early starts or long coach journeys.
