I can be one of the most pessimistic people at the worst of times.
This weekend probably won't be that bad as the actual Lounge festival is within walking distance of where I live and a few people that I know will be attending.
One of them happens to be Laura, a really lovely woman who was on my HND Media Course but unfortunately had to drop out and re-do her first year
due to illness.
On the plus side it will be really good to find out what she has been doing since 2005 which is probably when I last saw her. Come to think of it, it was the night when I came back in October of my first year to celebrate
Cheryl's birthday, then heading back to London early the next morning.
It will be enjoyable, I'll see how far I can go in anticipation of JTQ on Sunday.
I've never seen them perform live bizzarely enough despite them hailing from Rochester, and that they've performed in London quite a few times.
There seems to be two sides to JTQ, the rather MOD-ish sound from when they started and did covers of "Mission Impossible" that was present on their 2007 Motown covers LP, or the more soulful/jazzy JTQ from when they made records such as "Love The Life" in the early 90s similar to the music reflective of their current album "New World".
I'm expecting them to be more of the former as I know that's what goes down well when performing live and practically it makes sense.
Here's hoping they perform the theme to "Starsky And Hutch".
