Morning.
Despite it looking rather nice outside, I feel as if I've been forced into what's set to happen this weekend.
In a nearby grassland outside of Canterbury, the Lounge On The Farm festival is taking place this weekend with all sorts of bands performing.
To be honest the only acts I really want to see are Roots Manuva tomorrow evening, and the James Taylor Quartet on Sunday and possibly Mr Scruff if I find any spare time after the Rochester band have performed.
There's also a lot of local unsigned bands and over acts that don't ring a bell that Dad has been forcing me to go to and he's rather irritated that I'm not excited as I should be.
I've never really liked festivals, especially as whenever I've been to one I've always been on my own and because this one's taking place in Canterbury it will be difficult to be outgoing and enthusiastic about things.
This is exactly why I would want to start doing the same sort of thing I did on Smoke at any of the community stations in Canterbury because that's how I got to know people in London as they liked what I did, and I was able to carry on doing it but at the same time get into the social activities they liked doing without feeling alienated.
For me personally it really can't work the other way round, with the possible exception of those I may come across at the JTQ performance.
I know I should be grateful for going to concerts for free through others, but in all honesty, I tend to get more enjoyment out of ones I've paid for.
Roll on August the 22nd at the Indigo2.
