More Deadly Than "Dead Set"

The first episode of "You Have Been Watching" met expectations in terms of content although the guests were different as expected with one of them being a welcome appearance for Richard Herring, complete with the Hitler moustache in preparation for his new Edinburgh stand-up show.

The other guests included Rufus Hound, and Jamelia who is starting to become a former pop star turned panel show whore.

The format of the show involves dissections of television shows in a similar manner to Screenwipe, followed by the guests take on the shows and related games linked to them.

One of them this week was The ONE Show which involved a game where Richard and Jamelia had to take on the respective roles of Adrian and Christine and read off an autocue linking from serious to light hearted issues which proved to be funny solely for the fact that one of the lines referred to
Kelvin McKenzie as a c**t.

However the stand out part of the programme for the wrong reasons was the unearthing of an American series "Deadliest Warrior" which involves historical warriors from different periods being pitted against each other with very gory consequences.

Along with severe skin conditions, and "Pingu's Beak", that's one of the few things I draw the line at and couldn't actually watch any of the clips that they showed, but there's no denying that it's one of the most original ideas for a programme.

It will be interesting to see how the series develops although as long as there's crap on our screens, we'll never be far from a laugh from the ever coarse critic.

And he even finished it with his trademark "Go Away!"

I think I'll stick to my duller but more sensible, Good Night.
