"Advantage: Davies"

Morning.

A lot to get done this morning including emptying the dishwasher, getting DVD-Rs and application forms delivered and buying a few extra things for a "shell-bol" that I plan to make later with proper slightly expensive conchiglie pasta.

I also need to buy Olly a birthday card and get it sent quickly in hoping that it will reach America by next Thursday.

Chris Moyles has been good fun this morning with the obvious highlight being Carrie "hi-jacking" the BBC's live TV link up from Wimbledon on Breakfast by getting on the umpires chair and saying "New balls please", and "We are not on a break" at random points.

Someone sent a message on the live player saying that they missed a trick by getting her to say "Advantage, Davies" which would have been brilliant.

That's something that's happened to me many times when presenting, especially when there are others in the studio with me as there are so many opportunities for witty adlibs and television references that just go over my head.

I haven't listened back to it yet but this week on Scott Mills (with Greg James) they have been holding auditions for the lead role of "Scott Mills - The Musical".

I'm pretty certain Chris Chilvers and Peter Cooper would have been two of those wanting the part.

And come to think of it, Greg James himself.

There was another record played this morning, again "borrowed" from another song in the same style as the Kid British track, this time lifting "Echo Beach" by Martha and The Muffins.

The record itself is "Box N Locks" by MPHO and would have sounded superb yesterday when I was lazing it in Thanet.

I must by an iPod sometime.

I should get everything done before Murray plays Ferrero this afternoon although I doubt I'll be distracted by the game itself.

As long as he's doing well it should be fine, but watching any tennis game feels like an insomnia cure.

Hopefully that should not be the case any if Andy reaches the mens final.
