The Box Of Laughs

Today once again has been rather stressfull so far with my external DVD burner being wayward with me.

It's behaving itself as I type and although I want to buy a replacement, I can understand that there are other things I should be prioritising my money over.

I also brought the new Radio Times where there's quite a few interesting shows starting next week including the latest offering from Charlie Brooker "You Have Been Watching".

Broadcast in a post Big Brother slot on Channel 4 from this coming Tuesday, this new show's more of a panel based format where Charlie and a series of guests will be giving an ever irreverent take on the weeks television and will feature a studio audience which should also be interesting.

There's also another BBC Four series starting later in the year called "Gameswipe" devoted to another of Brooker's interests by dissecting
video games.

However the most welcome news is that a week on Thursday sees the return of what is probably my favourite comedy panel show on television, Mock The Week where one of the guests is Frank Skinner who's never been on the show before, but if his recent appearances on HIGNFY are anything to go by then he'll provide the goods.

Frankie Boyle was also interviewed in the magazine and I won't give too much away apart from him revealing that he will be releasing an autobiography at Christmas which will be another addition to this year's list.

Whilst things in general may be looking rather unsettled, that's not to say that there's never anything funny on television.

13 weeks of coarse topical gags will do the job perfectly throughout the rest of the summer.
