"Half- Baked" Would Be Too Kind A Description

If there's something we really need badly in Canterbury, it's a place to get freshly made bread that isn't from any of the larger places outside of the city.

What you could call our own equivalent of Wenzels back in Harrow as there's barely anywhere to get any nice loaves and other delightful well made pastries.
We don't even have a Gregg's which probably shows how bad things are.

Having thought about it, we do have a market that sells loaves, and things with dried fruit either on Wednesdays or Fridays but a permanent place where I know I can go to would be a nice addition to Canterbury, even if it's not really the right time to start such a thing in terms of money.

I ended up going to a place similar to Gregg's at St Dunstans near the West station which didn't have any whole loaves as opposed to sandwiches where I ended up buying a very icy belgian bun. That's "icy" as in full of icing.

I plan to head over to London at around 2:20pm which should give me plenty of time before meeting up with Paul at the Crown And Sceptre which should be interesting, in terms of chatting about what happened in Nottingham not long ago.

I'll probably head back over to Canterbury pretty soon after although I'm hoping that I arrive back in time to see the second episode of Charlie Brooker's new show.

I don't know who the guests are this week but it should provide a few laughs.

On the subject of Canterbury's inferiority I saw yet another vehicle with a Heart 103.1 102.8 sticker in it's window, continuiting to elaborate the sea of mediocrity the county is still drowning in.

It may not be a safe return.
