Dead Web Design

It's pretty stressful up here in RP1 where a few of the second year students are working on their web pages due in for submition tomorrow.

With regards to the running of the module, they seem to be taking the piss every year by introducing a completely different piece of web design software that's a bugger to use whereas my year were given Front Page which was more useable and practical if not as good as Dreamweaver.

This year they've been told to use WordPress which is nonsense as it's really designed for blogging and therefore limits certain functions of HTML web design which is why a lot of people have had to upload their photos and images onto either Facebook or Photobucket so they can import them.

Oli P was stressing over it earlier and I can guarantee I won't be around the radio rooms tomorrow morning as it will be utter insanity with everyone struggling to get their sites finished.

That was certainly the case for my year two years ago with one group having to re-record their audio in an afternoon just hours before the deadline.

But as I type it's pretty calm and there aren't too many people around, but that makes me even more nervous ahead of tonight's show at 8pm which I suppose is a good thing.

Plenty of gems lined up tonight including one of the new tunes from Rasmus Faber's latest album and an Anita Baker tune previously performed by the Perri Sisters.

I also plan to spin the Specials version of "Enjoy Yourself" on the basis that it's the theme tune to "I've Never Seen Star Wars" and is kind of relevant.

Even more so is my opening tune "Dream Come True" by the Brand New Heavies although I'll let you make your own guesses.

I may watch a bit of the Apprentice when I get back, but it's one of those shows that for me is more entertaining when you're watching it with your mates.

That was certainly the case during the Comic Relief Special although part of it was done for laughs.

Overall the main priority will be to get a bit of grub down me as soon as the show's finished.
