Tonight's focus group went down pretty well although it was slightly more heated as we all had differing opinions about radio presenters in Phil's one.
I really can't see what everyone else does in Sara Cox as I don't find her that engaging at all and can't relate to anything she says.
Everyone else said that they can relate to presenters like Scott Mills and Greg James because they, well Greg in particular are around the same age and can talk to them at there level.
Although in my case very few things I enjoy doing or "consuming" in popular culture are related to things that other people do within my age.
Yes, I'm getting older.
We all agreed however that without presenters, radio would be dead, especially with Spotify becoming ever present.
After we'd finished, Denis showed me a video of the Queens of The Stone Age, and lead singer Josh Homme getting very lary at a fan throwing things at him on stage which to be fair would be un called for but his reaction is just hilarious.
The plan was to watch "I've Never Seen Star Wars" on BBC Four but we were delayed due to Manchester City and Aalborg going into extra time in the second leg of their UEFA Cup quarter final.
They then went into penalties which saw City go through.
After switching over we watched what was left of the programme and it looked like quite a bit had been edited out as it would be but it was still pretty good.
Although everyone got in stitches for a completely different reason as I threatened to smash a pint glass over Phil Harris if he made one more joke about me and housemate Barry being a couple.
I wasn't really going to use it of course, but the one way to put Phil down to size (well for me anyway) is to remind him about his short temper whilst he was the studio producer during G-Radio last Autumn.
He really couldn't respond to my jokes as soon as that incident came to mind.
Anyway we carried on watching the show until the end and I did make an appearance surely enough as the back of me was shown within the rest of the audience for about 10 seconds during the closing credits.
I also noticed that they had changed the theme tune to The Specials version of the song "Enjoy Yourself" as used on the radio show, whereas when I was in the audience they used the orignal 1940s version of the song.
Some shut eye awaits as tomorrow I need to get my recording equipment, provided Hasan has got his act together, and will be returning to Canterbury for the weekend in order to do my focus group.
Although to be fair Mum and Dad are going away for part of the weekend so it will just be me being around.
Good Night.
