I've never actually visited the area before, and don't know a large amount about the station as a whole but they did have a superb selection of jingles over it's first 15 years.
Severn Sound launched in 1980 and commissioned a custom jingle package from Alfasound Tapetrix.

They came back for more a couple of years later where Alfasound produced a few more cuts based on the main theme in a variety of different musical styles.
The demo is well remembered by jingle fans for that rather amusing adlib from Steve England towards the end, where Alan Fawkes' count in, later went on to be sent up by the Bastard Brothers

Presenters on the station in over the years included the late Ivanhoe Campbell, Paul Seed who went on to become an announcer at Meridian, and Glen Thompsett who started his broadcasting career at the station as an engineer before presenting the rock show and later going on to join Invicta FM and then an announcer at TVS and later LWT.
The mid 80s saw a new jingle package, this time from Selby based producer Cath Baxter who provided an absolutely stunning well orchestrated package. It definitely provided a more livelier and vibrant sound than the previous Alfasound packages.

In 1987 the station returned to Alfasound for a third jingle package returning to the original theme and melody logo but it was given a more contemporary sound with some stunning beds for different items.

1989 saw Severn Sound following in line with several other stations and brought a composite package from TM in Dallas through Muff Murfin who was based in nearby Worcestershire.
The demo can be heard here via the Simrek Martenno website which explains why the voiceover is German.
The jingle package as a whole didn't last long although some of the news themes were kept until the station was taken over by GWR in 1995.
It was replaced in 1990 by a composite pacakge from JAM containing cuts from "Breakthrough" and "Q Cuts" although there was a birthday acapella for it's 10th anniversary which gave a nod to the original melody logo.

However that jingle package was also short lived as by this time Severn Sound and it's AM station Three Counties Radio had been bought by Chiltern Radio and rebranded the main station as "The Hot FM" initially with 18 hours of networked output from Dunstable but the Radio Authority ordered for the hours to be reduced.
The jingles used were from the custom JAM pacakge commissioned for the Chiltern Network which can be heard via my post about Chiltern from a couple of months ago.
Then in 1995 the Severn Sound and the rest of the Chiltern stations were brought by GWR and you know how it goes from then.
