Red Nose=Red Faced

More hilarity has taken place through a show on the iPlayer from BBC Three looking back at some of Red Nose Day's dirtiest moments.

Highlights include the many snogs over the years such as Dawn French and Hugh Grant in 1995, Smith and Jones from the same year, and from 1999 Lenny Henry kisses Elle McPherson and gets rather shocked when she uses her tongue.

There were also a few too near the knuckle moments such as Borat's interview in 2007, and from the same year one of the Little Britain Live sketches where David Walliams in the guise of kids TV presenter Des Kaye ends up pulling down Jeremy Edwards trousers and accidentally exposes him to much embarrassment.

Also included were a few sweary bits including Catherine Tate's "Nan" appearing on Deal Or No Deal where Noel Edmonds was brilliant as Tate proceeded to eff and blind her way during the sketch creating just great television overall and ripping the piss out of the sychophantic contestants.

However my favourite sweary moment had to be a sketch with Elton John from 1999 where he was seen throwing a sweary tantrum in front of his PAs about being asked to do a promotion for the charity, and then it revealed it was just him acting followed by him saying

"Get on that phone and give some fucking money to this fucking great cause.
Do what your Uncle Elton tells you!
Otherwise.... I'll come round and shit in your face!"

Nudity also featured quite prominently with such examples including Billy Connolly running around Leicester Square naked in 2001, while two years earlier Chris Evans, Paul Gascoine and "Wiiiiiill!" McDonald were involved in a naked football training session on a muddy pitch.

Most of the contributors who were interviewed in the programme were young comedians such as Rhod Gilbert, Sheridan Smith and Ralf Little, as well as an appearance by Ross Tilley's colleauge Lucie Cave from Heat magazine.

Like most programmes of this type, you could tell that they had watched some of the clips just before being interviewed as they could recall most of them in great detail.

The programme also featured some of the many toe curling moments such as "Drunken Fame Academy" in 2005 where judge Craig Revel Horwood was forced on stage to sing "I Will Survive" which was embarrassing as he started singing in a high operatic voice and then going down a scale when least exepected.

Tonight will hopefully see more comic relief of some sort as in less than an hour it's the big planning meeting for the pilot of our Smoke Radio sitcom.

God knows how long it will last but hopefully we'll all celebrate at the end with a few drinks at the Underpants for St Patricks Day where VKs are a pound, fantastic!

I'm hoping there will be plenty of people present.
