Gasmask Zone Below My Bedroom

The second episode of Mock The Week series 7 wasn't as good as last week's opener, but did have a few laughs including Frankie Boyle's joke about Adrian Chiles which will please all those who despise of the West Bromwich Albion supporter, and a gag about Peter Crouch in repsonse to the phone hacking story, despite it being 3 years since the "robot incident".

It was also the final episode of "That Mitchell And Webb Look" series 3 and I'd say this wasn't really their best series.

Numberwang made a brief return in the form of two producers pitching the show to be relaunched for teens but not only was the sketch not very funny, anyone watching who hadn't seen the Numberwang sketches in series 1 wouldn't have understood it at all.

Although the duo have two more series of Peep Show to be made, it would be ideal to call time on the sketch show.

Over on ITV1 they've been showing an edited version of Martin Bashir's documentary on Michael Jackson from 2003 which I re-viewed in full earlier in the year during my rummage.

I've managed to find the much talked about edit by Michael's own team, showing what really happened and should provide an extra insight.

You can probably guess what will be in the next blog post.

I am currently in a position where I can't leave my bedroom due to the rest of the fucking house stinking of a greasy spoon due to dad's cooking.

Believe me, it's that unpleasant to the point of me having to hold my breath and what I don't understand is how himself and mum can tolerate that but have gone spare if my room doesn't smell as pleasant.

It seems that even in my own house (well not necessarily my house) there's no escape from hypocrites.

Anyway, it's an early start tomorrow to make sure I'm in a position to see as much as I can of Fern Britton's final This Morning, and prior to that I may have a bit of a listen to Chris and Pete's Hayes FM Breakfast Show where this week they're jumping on the Harry Potter bandwagon.

I could never present a breakfast show, not because of waking up, but finding decent content which as far as I'm concerned, only Chris Moyles is capable of doing.

Good Night.

Thought Mock the Week was much better this week - always works better with comedians who are coming through rather than established, like Frank Skinner. Do think it would work much better with just two regulars, rather than four. It used to be very edgy, now it's a bit "oh well done chaps, very funny gag."

I'd say that it works just like any other panel show in that it could be really great one week, and not so good the next.

Series 4 was probably my favourite, from early 2007.
