"The Queen Of...(Well It Rhymes With Hearts)"

Afternoon.

I haven't blogged at all so far today as I have been busy travelling back to London and transcribing the first half of last night's focus group.

I almost forgot my Marantz and just before the train at 8:45am arrived I had to go back and collect it from the house but it wasn't too much of a hindrance and the journey back had no major problems at all.

As soon as I got back I made a start on transcribing last night's focus group and it isn't as tough as I'd thought it would be.
I'm not doing the whole thing at once of course but I aim to get it completed tomorrow before I go to see Joey in Central London as I see that as my reward for getting the first transcript completed.

As for the rest of today I plan to head into the radio rooms and get some more dubbing done although I'm not sure whether I'll get access to a computer terminal as the first years are finishing off their 3 minute features ahead of tomorrow's deadline.

One of them however, that being Matt from Leeds has brought to my attention the fact the Radio 1's Newsbeat are sinking even lower by devoting 10 minutes of their programme to **** ***** and only 20 seconds a story of 14 people being killed in a plane crash in America.

This really is taking the mickey and more or less rubber stamps the fact that Newsbeat is heavy on celebrity (or not so on her case) nonsense.

I'm sorry if this offends people but it's over now so bloody well get over it.

My parents and their friends reaction to the news yesterday was more or less in the same way as Princess Diana's death, as they didn't make any sick jokes, but they were rather irreverant about it all, which is good as they never take public figures too seriously.

Anyway, I'd best head over and possibly say hello to a few familar faces, even if I've just been gone for this weekend.
