It may be approaching early August but I'd go as far as saying that this is the best summer I've had in a long while.
I've actually made use of all the spare time I have to think about all my faults and more importantly happier times and ask myself, how do I continue feeling this way?
Well it's very simple when you've got instant access to all your favourite possessions!
I reckon tomorrow will be a similar story, adding more from my jingle shrine onto my hard drive. To be honest it may take a while with the MDs and don't get me started on the cassettes!
Luckily with the large amount of USB lifesavers I may splash out (when a bit more better off) on an external sound card although now I've thought about it, it may involve attaching it to one of the other computers in the house so as to avoid any confusion with my computer's own soundcard.
External hardware really is the way forward as my DVD burner can get CDs/DVDs sorted in 2 minutes rather than 2 hours and the fact that I'm able to carry an entire radio production studio in the palm of my hand is definitely something!
Having recently acquired the Lucasfilm series of sound effects I'm sure Stoobie will be delighted at having those to play with!
Looking at this in perspective, I've never realised how short the summer break from school really is compared to this. Olly's just finished his first year in Sixth Form and will be giving mum a hand at the Playscheme which is a summer activities scheme for toddlers and young children.
I don't know how I'd cope but at least unlike ASDA they are in care of people who can cope with little children unlike their often equally dimunitive parents who just make bad situations even worse!
Anyway that's all behind me now and will remain that way.
