I had another lie in this afternoon but even that was inspiring as I kept on questioning the scenarios I was dreaming about. On doing this I discovered an e-mail from Matthew asking if anyone's interested in helping out at an RSL called Hayes FM which I immediately responded too.
Well almost, as I spent the next two hours re-editing my radio demo and here's the latest attempt.
As ever it's a case of work in progress but I'm always open to constructive comments on how it can be improved and I reckon that there's a wide selection of moods in this selection.
I'm hoping that whatever happens, if I get to lend a hand it will be good fun and I'm gutted that I haven't lent a hand to any RSLs here in this lovely county.
I once joined a befriending scheme many years ago and was paired with a lovely woman called Hannah who coincidentally enough used to work at Invicta FM, first of all on work experience in 1995 in the "News Centre" with Jane Hill who's now at Lincs FM, and the second time round two years later on the much missed Invicta Supergold after winning their "Search For A Star" competition.
She also helped out at a few RSLs including one with Dave Bethell who's done really well to follow in the footsteps of his dad Barry of Slim Fast fame!
I'd love to find out what she's up to now as I really didn't make the effort to find out what she was doing after she went over to Tenerife five years ago and I let negative situations and people take over. And I'm certain that despite never hearing Hannah Dorey present on air, I'm certain that with a personality like her's she'd definitely go far in radio.
