Another 90s revival, this time the Gamesmaster Xmas Special from 1995 looking back at the bizarre moments from the last 5 series.
Dominic Diamond's more than happy to take the mickey out of himself from the first two series including a rather embarrassing singalong at the end of the Xmas show from
series 2 and this shows how the programme ended up becoming more irreverent as it progressed.
There's also a few moments from the rather embarrassing third series where
Dexter Fletcher took over as host and not being able to fully understand irony at the time, I ended up using his interview technique of repeating what the person says.
On a serious, dare I say geeky point there's a run down of the 5 games that changed the world including the ever superb Sonic on the Mega Drive, Super Street Fighter II on the SNES and the stunning and rather emotional Mario 64 which just has it all,
superb gameplay, graphics and a lovely soundtrack.
Overall a fitting testament to one of the finest shows from the 90s which grabbed me since the beginning despite not actually owning a console until about a year after the show had finished!
