My interview at Next earlier this evening just shot by, I was asked about things such as how I'd deal with someone not pulling their weight within a team which was one of the rare questions I felt really enthusiastic to answer!
I'll find out if I'm succesfull later on in the week but it seems like a really nice place with very pleasant staff. None of the Group Selection nonsense that ASDA enforces on new employees although having said that I completely avoided the process when I went for my interview for some reason or other.
However there's no need to remember the past apart from the more colourful moments and one thing that came up whilst I met Peter Stewart earlier today was Essex FM's jingles from the late 90s or to be more specific the top of hour ID which can be heard here as recorded back in 1997 and Ross T if your reading, this is how a news intro should sound!
By the time I started listening a few years later in their "Hotter And Fresher" phase, they were using a remixed version which wasn't as good although they still used
the "Essex ehhfeehhhm!" vocal as an acapella quite a few times as a general ID and it still sounded great along with other jingles from that package.
I'd love to hear a recording of the original jingle with Peter reading the forecast with those slide whistle noises signifying the high and low temperatures!
