"Turned Out Nice Again Yer Motherf*****"

Here's an example of a great interviewer and an even greater interviewee!
The late Bernard Manning as interviewed by Opal Bonfante formerly of the infamous Big L which just goes to show that there's no shame in liking the man.
This covers so many areas of comedy and shows that if you're a wannabe comedian, there's nothing wrong with re-using material as long as you give your own take on the gags.

Opal ended up quitting Big L earlier in the year due to disagreements with the management and appeared on the Get Your Act Together Showdown as broadcast after the Channel 4 documentary. It's a shame that presenters with great potential are looked down on by people who think they are bigger than they actually are.
Speaking of which Channel 4 are broadcasting "Bernard Manning From Beyond The Grave" tomorrow night which I'm really looking forward to seeing.
Those who critcise him for his jokes can just go and continue laughing at jokes about disabled people from contemporary so called comedians.

Although to be honest I really must get round to watching those Richard Herring DVDs, one of the standout standups in this day and age. He knows how to make stupid humour work without aiming for the lowest common denominator.
He's doing a run through for his latest show "Fuck Me I'm 40" in nearby Whistable pretty soon although I'd prefer to see it in London when after it's become succesfull in Edinburgh.
