I made my way up to the road near the East Station where a long line of people were present to see the cyclists and many French manufacturers throw out freebies at the Tour De France.
There was a lot of excitement around the place especially as every two people standing ahead and behind me had a whistle so it did get rather rowdy.
I also managed to meet up with Hon who's graduating next week on a successfull BA in Mathematics who's just about to start a masters degree in the same subject. He's been doing pretty well for himself since we last saw each other at the Abbey unit reopening and we had a chat about all sorts of things including both our universities incosistency with timetables and work being handed back to us late or in some cases never.
I've now realised since starting University that it's not just students who are unorganised.
I was sweating quite badly and starting to dehydrate as a result of having nothing to drink all day but I managed to stick around for quite a while to see the cyclists rush past followed by the cars with the spare bicycles.
Hopefully they'll make another visit back here sometime!
