Following on from the last post I decided to endure in a bit of Googling and came across an old thread on Digital Spy about Invicta FM after GCap enforced it's programming style on the station in September '05 which is still present today.
This was around the time I fully realised that there were a load of dickheads posting obnoxious messages including one in response to mine which was the final straw and made me want to cut down on forum posting unless it was really necessary. Thankfully those who made the negative comments have now been banned. Mwahahahah!
Anyway besides the point, I happened to mention Miss Dorey in that very thread and another slightly more sensible member mentioned that Supergold's breakfast presenter Dave Asher "had a thing for her". Around this time Dave and Caroline
AKA "Dasher and Dawn" had made the national papers after they protested over PC Sandy Beech's policy on chairs being removed from the studio when presenting.
This was also the time when over on Invicta FM the "Morning Zoo" was introduced as a way of bringing an end to seperate breakfast shows on all the stations frequencies with Neil Francis and fellow radio enthusiast Simon Beale. "Neily and Bealey" as the jingles suggested.
And even that show made the newspapers as on it's launch in 1995 Neil woke up late and ended up doing the show from his mobile on the way to work!
I'll have to have a search for those rather amusing jingles including one which was based around Blur's Country House!
