"Wasted On Radio..."

A certain theme has been running within the blog for a few days now and this has resulted in the long established website Radio Babes added to my links.

This is basically a whos who in the most radient of radio presenters including quite a few local faces such as the desirable Claire Lawson at Invicta FM, Kirstyn Read at KMFM, and of course our very own Westminster stable represented by Sam, and the equally desirable Maz Lopez who's finally got a presenting gig at Hert's Mercury FM.

But this is no site for sleaziness, the majority of those featured on the site have been more than happy to be interviewed and the advice they offer is spot on, particuarly Kirstyn's comment about being thick skinned in the business.
Although to be honest I seem to be acting like that all the time despite Dad's discouraging comments about my "washing up habits".

I can remember listening to Kirstyn on what was then known as Neptune Radio from Dover, and she was particuarly brilliant with the requests, with the exception of one incident when they were unable to find the song "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi so they ended up playing the Dr Albarn song of the same name!
In fact I've probably still got one of her early Sunday shows on KMFM on minidisc, which she still does today although this was from October 2003 when Neil Fox was still doing
Hit 40 UK and I was very depressed.

Says it all really, I had completely forgotten how life could be so good, due to a poor start on my HND Course.
In all fairness it was very heavy handed with one assignment after another and two seperate modules rolled into one. That and lecturers turning up late, and a student union dominated by chavs.

The thing for anyone starting a college or university course in September to keep in mind:
Don't worry about being disorganised, because some of the lecturers are fucking worse than you'll ever be.
