Constant Organsising

Pretty unmemorable day really, just tagging and tidying files on my laptop.

I did take a break to watch the final of the Champion Of Champions on Countdown where Series 59 finalist Charlie was up against octo-champ Steve Briers who reached the quarter finals in Series 55 when Des Lynam was still presenting.

The good news for me was that the Cambridge student was beaten once again with Steven collecting the trophy for the latest set of Champion of Champions contests.

I'd imagine the next one will take place in around two or three years although whether Jeff is still in the chair will be another thing.

I think he's doing well though and it's brought my attention to the cult following that is Soccer Saturday on Sky One where he really comes into his own.

As for the game itself I managed to get a few six letter words, with one of them being "toerag".
I really hope that one day I'll be able to solve the main conundrum in the game which is something I've never been able to do despite watching the show on and off for 18 years.

As for tonight I will shortly be heading down to the Undercroft where they'll be plenty of drinking and DJing in memory of the late Ben Airey who used to study here.

It will be the first time I've seen Mattie Bennett in quite a while so I hope he's doing alright and coming to terms with things.

However Linzi one of our alumni spoke to him on Facebook saying that he couldn't keep greiving forever and I hope that tonight brings him back to his usual fun, raucous and slightly arrogant self.

And I'm sure Ben would be thinking exactly the same way so they'll be plenty of drinking for him tonight.
