How The Mighty Return

A pretty run of the mill morning so far spent reading the latest edition of the Radio Times whilst listening to Johnny Flynn's album.
It's not too bad, not the sort of thing I would get too excited about but it's a nice folkish (if there is such a word) set of tunes that would be perfect as part of a four hour drive or any similar length, if I actually had a drivers license.

A good listen though, not in the same league as the Bennson album that has been playing constantly recently (especially "Accidental Lover") but that's not really important as they're both completely different sorts of acts and it's important to have a listen to a wide range of stuff.

Provided it's not Maroon 5 or the Script.

There was an article this week's RT about Jonathan Ross's return to our screens next week and opinions of "expert media professionals" including our very own Steven Barnett who is the Professor of Communication at the University of Westminster and a fan of the man of several suits. I wish I had him as my dissertation tutor, especially as I haven't had a response from my current one.

Also interviewed were Paul Gambacinni, and Mark "Humpty" Lawson who had a few concerns about how he should alter his act, or the consequences of what would happen.

Wossy makes his return on Friday the 23rd of January where he will be up against the Celebrity Big Brother Final. I know which one I'll be watching.
Earlier on that night there's an edition of Tonight on ITV1 called "Is TV Too Rude?" investigating whether broadcasters are taking things too far with regards to pushing or should that be reducing the boundaries of taste and decency.

The BBC also plan to do a similar documentary for Panorama later this month to be presented by none other than Frank Skinner, a comedian who's never exactly been politically correct.

The radio show returns the following morning although for me, Ross will always be a television man, and is still my favourite presenter on there.

Also, it revealed that next week's guest in Dictionary Corner on Countdown will be noneother than Alastair Stewart, which I'm looking forward to seeing although I bet it will be confusing for first time viewers or those who haven't seen the show
since Des O'Connor, or even Richard Whiteley were presenting.

He's still mentioned on the show, including yesterday when current champion Junaid said his proudest moment was lifting the Richard Whiteley Memorial Trophy last month.

Hopefully it won't be too long before the word "Moonset" makes an appearance.
