The Garden Loses It's Rock

KMFM's Richard Walters has made a departure from the station to present
Weekend Breakfast at XFM London 104.9, which means the disapearance of the quite possibly the best show on the station, that being the Rock Show on Friday nights.

According to the website it appears to have disapeared from the schedules completely which I'm gutted about as it was one of the best rock shows currently on radio that managed to blend in the latest releases from acts such Slipknot and Sevendust, blended in with classic tracks from the like of Jimi Hendrix and Motley Crue and a few new tracks from local bands.

That and the superb overall presentation which made it sound exciting with not an ad break in sight.

However it's a sign of definite progression and here's hoping the stint leads onto bigger things in the station, possibly giving Alex Zane a run for his money although he's not too bad either.

As for tonight I'll be spending it in front of the new series of Dancing On Ice where
Donal McIntyre, Melinda Messenger and Coleen Nolan amongst others will fight it out to be "safe and skating next week".

Judge Jason Gardiner has already made a few scathing comments about this years contestants but overall it should be an enjoyable watch,
even if the scores only go up to 6.

Although Holly Willoughby is one of my favourite women on television, I honestly reckon Phillip Schofield could just do the show on his own as Holly barely does anything except say hello at the beginning of the show and ask the judges what they thought of the performance leaving Phillip to chat to the contestants and introduce each couple.

I've heard Christopher Dean hasn't been in too good shape however so I doubt we'll be seeing him taking to the ice.

Sunday nights will definitely be a staying in night for the next 11 weeks.
