Pre Supervision Meeting Nerves

I got a bit more time in bed last night although it wasn't good waking up as the bulb in my bedside lamp had gone. Looks like another visit to Electric City in Kenton this morning.

I'm still feeling a bit nervous and insecure about things, not least because I've got my show tonight and it may be the first time I see Lottie, Alice etc this semester sober. That's me being sober not them. Now I've just made this paragraph even more tangled.

As for the show itself, there's a new featured album which as mentioned earlier comes from Melinda Doolittle. It's kind of in the vein of Joss Stone's 2003 debut "The Soul Sessions" although this sounds a lot less forced and more genuine, not the sort of soul I'd usually play as it's more traditional and blues influenced as opposed to jazz influenced.

However there's only two more shows in January so I may as well include it on the show and it will be a good warm up to the other LPs I plan to profile this semester.

Other things on my "to do list" are to report the faulty cooker to Halls Reception, and my first meeting with Anastasia my dissertation supervisor.
Here's hoping I'll be motivated and not daunted after the meeting has finished but to coin a tired phrase "It Takes Time To Make Things".

I'll try and take things with ease for the rest of today.
