It was another evening on the ice with all the women making their debut including Blue Peter stunner Zoe Salmon, Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallet, Loose Woman (but not so loose in terms of body weight) Coleen Nolan, and Jessica Taylor formerly of Liberty X.
It's not the first time the Jessica has skated on television as she was one of the contestants on the BBC's Strictly Ice Dancing special at Christmas 2004, along with David Seaman who went on to win the contest and appeared on the first series of DOI in 2006.
In the early planning stages of the series in 2005 they were going to call it "Skating With Celebrities" but after the success of "Celebrity Love Island" and even worse
"Celebrity Wrestling", they decided go for the more simpler
and "less likely to flop" option.
One thing I didn't pick up on last week's show as Tony Gubba's reaction to Ellery Hanley's programme by saying "Didn't he do well!" which I found amusing for obvious reasons.
I'm pleased they have a short replay after each performance as if I'm being honest I never really pay attention to the programmes themselves as I'm concentrating more on the music.
Although to be honest and this goes for just about every other show of this sort, I think the music is intergral to someone's performance and sometimes determines whether it's entertaining or rubbish.
Colleen Nolan's one which wasn't too good unsurprisingly was "Dream A Little Dream" by Mama Cass which wasn't the most exciting tune to use. However Zoe Stunner's programme was to Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" and I could use the name of that song to make an unsubtle comment but I'll avoid doing so.
And I still find it hard to see individuals falling and banging themselves in a painful place, because as soon as it happens I'm like "fucking hell" and so on as it is a bit extreme sometimes.
Rather annoyingly for me Coleen was saved from the skate off and the two that ended up skating for survival were Eastender Gemma, and Melinda Messenger.
As you'd expect I was rooting for Melinda and was suprised that the judges voted for her in a clean sweep as they had a few good words for Gemma, earlier in the show.
However she did come across as desperate trying to show herself off as a tomboy and saying she enjoyed watching football and so on.
But overall I'm pleased that one of the loveliest women in the world will be appearing with all the other skaters on next week's show where hopefully they'll re-introduce the required element.
One of the stars in the audience this week was Alan Carr who was rather disapointed it was an all girls contest as he was there to support Michael Underwood.
Which makes sense as they both come from Northampton.
On that note, immediately after I switched over to watch the first few minutes of the Sunday Night Project with Catherine Tate presenting. With her blatant utterances of her catchphrases, and shouting I ended up being in the mind of Nan and thought
"What a load of old shit".
It's a bit hit and miss on that show depending who presents it each week but when the right guest appears it can be entertaining.
Luckily I've got a few other things that will entertain me for the rest of the night that my end up on the next post before bedtime.
