Well this is even more interesting, fellow radio student Chris Chilvers now finally has
a blog of his own which I hope will provide even further light into what goes on
with one of the most prominent players on the radio course.
And contrary to what he's written in his first post, I don't think Lynn's too bad a place although I could say his exact words, only about Canterbury.
I've just put together the show for tonight which at the request of some listeners in nearby Norwich, I will be playing something by Barry White but because they didn't give me a specific song, it will be another one from his 1989 LP "The Man Is Back" which I doubt will be to their tastes.
I also need to be careful with Master Control tonight as I buggered up the running order last week meaning the pre-recs didn't go out, but because Eric's back this week with his "shocking" Electro show immediately after mine, I'll make sure that everyone goes out as planned.
On that note I've got a record by DJ Circle on the show tonight which I'll play near the end and I reckon will fit in nicely as it's got a few dated sounding synth bits in it which otherwise sound superb.
There's also a few other surprises so if the hour between 8 and 9pm tonight is empty, spend it wisely.
As for tomorrow I'll try re-writing by diss proposal and try and specify what I want to be finding out.
No disrespect in any way but because my tutor's foreign, it makes it hard for me to talk about various examples of British texts and ideas to her.
Although to be perfectly honest a lot of the lecturers here including Matthew, and Maria Way have poo-pooed my ideas in the past due to them having nothing in the way of dare I say it "poncey theories".
You really can't win with theory assignments, but I'm sure this is just a temporary phase of uncertainty.
