Thin Ice

Not a lot has happened since my arrival back although on the plus side, the radio rooms are open. The only problem is that the computer in Studio 6 is buggered which scuppers my chances of recording from the MD player, but the problem can be solved by using the fader in Studio 5 to listen to all the output from 6, as the MD player in Studio 5 is inaudible.

I'll probably make a start from tomorrow morning by transferring all my minidiscs with the Alfasound tapes on, although OldiesGuy will probably upload them all to Jinglemad before long.
There's still quite a lot of other things including all my full jingle packages, US radio airchecks from New York that I haven't listened to since my visits to the city.

I've also got my loan, so Mum if you're reading this, I'll bring my cheque for the rent to you when I come back on Thursday.

As an aside, the contestants for the new series of Dancing On Ice this Sunday and it's a pretty mixed selection.
Skating this year will be ex Chelsea footballer Graeme Le Saux who also appeared on the second series of Gameshow Marathon two years ago, Todd Carty who appeared in a similar scenario on Peter Kay's spoof last year, Ross Goodlass's mate Donal MacIntyre, Jessica Taylor formerly of Liberty X, the ever smiling Melinda Messenger,
former Blue Peter stunner Zoe Salmon, X Factor 2006 runner up Ray Quinn, and a return appearance for Michael Underwood who last year unfortunately broke his ankle on the show.

It may not be the best entertainment show on television but after to moving to Sundays last year, it became required viewing, even if just to see Holly's dress.

It really will be more of a staying in semester.
