As promised earlier, here is that demo for Century 21's "Imus In The Morning" package for WFAN in 1988 when it moved to 66 AM on the dial previously home to WNBC.
This was the first station of it's kind to broadcast an all sports format and they had some brilliant jingles over the years, which were also adapted for many stations in the UK.
Definitely one of my favourite packages made by Century 21 at their prime, this contains some superb cuts that would fit in on any Hot AC station as well as News/Talk or Sports as demonstrated in the audio.
I really love the news intro as well which sounds almost like a typical 80s ILR news intro i.e a brassy instrumental logo with the last note held accompanied by tinkling.
Only in this case it sounds a lot more classier and less sinister than most of the ones done in the UK.
Another early start again tomorrow so I'll try and get a bit of shut eye.
