I've managed to find another vintage episode of South Park, this time from Season 2 and an episode called "City On The Edge Of Forever". The basic plot involves the children stranded on the schoolbus over the edge of a cliff whilst the ever irate Ms Crabtree goes for help and ends up becoming a stand up comedian along the way and falling in love with a trucker.
Her success results in an appearance on the Jay Leno show with an amusing caricature of the US talk show host although the real Jay Leno appeared in the season 1 finale voicing "Mr Kitty".
Whilst the children fear for their death they end up reminiscing over past experiences resulting in the episode becoming a clip show with a twist as all the flashbacks end up taking a reverse twist to the original episodes with every scenario ending up with the characters enjoying ice cream.
It all turns out to be a dream in the end although it doesn't seem that way for Mrs Crabtree.
Although the episode wasn't broadcast on terrestrial television until June 1999, the Comedy Central website had episode clips to download and around the time we were wondering who Cartman's father was, I was almost convinced it really was John Elway as suggested by the flashback episode.
Around the time the series was transmitted, my maths teacher started impersonating the character Mr Mackey, the school counsellor who ended almost every sentence with "MmmKaaay".
These were pretty tough times back then but South Park and quite a few other comedy shows on television around the time such as Lee & Herring kept me going.
On listening back to my review of 2008 I've noticed a tiny flaw with one of my liners coming in at the wrong time.
I've now resolved the problem and uploaded the file again which can be
downloaded here, but I'm impressed with the amount of downloads it's had already,
despite not being as popular as my many jingle montages which I imagine
overall radio fans appear to be downloading.
If I could sound like I do on there, on my radio show then it would be a much needed improvement.
It could possibly be a sign that I'm more active during the day than at night.
That ruins my chances of a long-term relationship I guess.
