This was another worthy find, and quite a rarity as well from GranadaGreg, an episode of Southern Television's Runaround from 1977 not with Mike Reid, but Leslie Crowther.
The future host of Stars In Their Eyes had already worked with children on television when he was one of the presenters on the BBC's "Crackerjack" and comes across as rather strict in comparison to the East End comedian, in addition to the fact that the famous catchphrase that makes up the title of the post is absent.
Quite a lot of programmes from the Southern Television archive have been deleted which I imagine includes quite a lot of episodes of "How" which was the precursor to How 2 in the 1970s with Fred Dinenage and the team.
I'd imagine the Portsmouth FC supporter is still doing the local news in the Central South part of the Meridian region.
As the cooker's working again, I plan to start making a chilli as suggested earlier although I'll probably have it this afternoon as my evening's going to be rammed.
I also plan to watch (and possibly review in the next post) the DVD of Peter Kay's 2004 series "Max And Paddy's Road To Nowhere" which I know fellow radio student Caroline is quite a fan of.
The first episode is probably my favourite where Max gets chucked out of a nightclub for fighting, whilst trying to impress women.
Not to mention the Footloose spoof with good use of the Deniece Williams song.
