Layered Up In London

So the bad news is that we've lost vocalist Dave Dee, but the good news is that Trisha's talk show on Five has been axed due to the current economic conditions.
I know I'll get a bit of stick for this but here's hoping that Jeremy Kyle and the Loose Women follow suit in the near future.

Despite it saying that today would be milder outside, it is absolutely freezing to the point of it snowing, although I doubt the ground will be completely covered. I went into Harrow town this morning to try and find a few interesting books that would be good for my dissertation and overall enjoyment, but none of the places seemed to have the sort of things I was looking for.

I guess that means a visit into Central London pretty soon where I normally achieve good results.

On a similar note I've managed to find the front cover on Amazon for "Essential Radio Journalism" the follow up to Essential Radio Skills, and Basic Radio Journalism by both Peter Stewart and Paul Chantler respectively.
The only problem is that the book comes out at the end of May which isn't really going to be any helpful as I'll be done with both the radio course and Smoke Radio by that time.

I guess it would be worth buying the previous books as Amazon appear to still have a copy of "Local Radio Journalism" which Paul wrote back in the days he was still at Chiltern.

As for this afternoon it will be PY coming up with the good stuff on Jazz FM although tonight is a rather different story as there's barely anything decent on our screens if Total Wipeout and Andrew Lloyd Nobber's new series are anything to go by.
I guess that means that I'll either be reading whilst listening to another of my recent purchases, or watching one of the many DVDs I've brought back from Canterbury.

That's not a bad thing at all though as I wouldn't want something like the X Factor to go on for a whole year, although it definitely seems like the length of an individual series.
