Following on from Ramsay's 2009 offering I decided to have a gander at one of his contributions from last year's Great British Food Fight in the form of his first ever Cookalong.
Joining him in the studio was Chris Moyles whilst alongside many people cooking via webcams from their own homes were Janet Street Porter, and the Big Brother Celebrity Hijack contestants.
I didn't see the programme when it was first shown around this time last year, as my television viewing habits were slightly more reluctant then compared to now, but this was really entertaining if a bit too rapid but I guess that added to the fun.
The one on 4oD has all the f-words cut out but it doesn't really ruin anything and they don't occur as often as on the Great British Nightmare (unbleeped of course)
For those who haven't seen the programme it involves Gordon and a celebrity guest preparing a three course meal in under an hour where tonight's involved the main course consisting of rather nice looking steak.
I tend to have a habit of saying "Excuse Me!" whenever something rude either blatantly or subtlely is said with one of them being Gordon talking about the "ring" on a cooker.
More or less my way of saying "Good mornin'" but no where near as annoying or stupid.
Gordon started off by showing how to make the chips which were more like great big spicy wedges which was quite a nice touch, although when they cut to Janet and asked if she was looking forward to eating them she responded with "No!, I hate f**king chips!"
I wouldn't disagree with her provided I was in sober circumstances.
I'm rather disapointed that the series from last Autumn isn't on 4oD but I'm pretty certain they'll be doing it again later in the year as it's one of the finest cooking programmes on television.
Right now as I type I'm having a listen to Keeley and Joe making a welcome return to the Smoke Radio airwaves with Keeley sounding ever bubbly with her Essex accent and Joe sounding deadpan as ever.
Amongst the things they're talking about are Paris Hilton's awful TV series on ITV2 in an attempt to find her new "British Best Friend" or BBF in her stupid acronym talk.
I haven't seen the series itself luckily although Lottie and Eric were talking about it on their show yesterday and playing the clip of her saying "Talk To You Never! TTYN!".
Although in my case it would be WYN. As always, make your own jokes.
I can't believe ITV have even bothered to give that bitch the airtime even if it is only on their digital channel.
Although I'm fearing the transfer to ITV1 pretty soon which if that does go ahead, will be the worst move ITV have made after that stupid decision to go to a break at the wrong time during last night's football.
Keeley's even made the rather bold move of apologising for some of the songs being played which is a tiny bit cheeky but I can't exactly blame her.
There are tunes on our A-list which are almost 6 months old which is pretty much unthinkable but I shouldn't really comment as haven't done a daytime show for nearly two years now.
I would have loved to have had the job as head of music at the station although production and branding was good fun, but if I did take the role I wouldn't be such a control freak and would enlist the help of others on campus to suggest tracks that should be added to the playlist as I couldn't really commit my time to listening to so many new CDs a week.
Plus it fits into the analogy of "many hands make light work" rather than just searching for light work overall.
I would probably prioritise on our much missed G-list with all the oldies/student anthems,
but at the same time would make sure that all the A-list and B-list etc tunes would stay fresh and would come and go depending on their popularity as opposed to just staying on the station for bleeding eternity.
In terms of music radio programming and playlists these days, Tight is Sh...
I'll stop there.
