After getting back from my meeting with Prospects I got a call from Steven asking if I would like to help him with his focus group stepping in for someone who dropped out at the last minute.
I immediately said yes and headed over to meet him Chris, Denis and Potty where we headed over to Steven's house in "far away" Sudbury to undertake his focus group which basically involved assessing a feature on Newsbeat where Conservative Leader David Cameron was being interviewed by Radio 1 listeners at a cafe in Newquay.
We looked into issues such as the presentation, the questions asked and whether the addressing towards those who listen to Newbeat can be seen as condescending.
The most interesting point came when Chris asked why Radio 1 didn't interview major figures, especially politicians within a show itself other than Newsbeat, which is a very good point as it would work brilliantly for the station in the same way as Jeremy Vine's show on Radio 2.
Nicky Campbell used to interview people such as then Prime Minister John Major on his late night Radio 1 show in the early 90s and to do something similar with either Jo Whiley, or Nihal would work equally as well in the present day.
After we'd finished we watched a few DVDs on Steven's HD Ready (as opposed to HD overall) TV including bits and pieces off the Michael McIntyre one which was entertaining.
Steven also brought my attention to this, one of Frankie Boyle's gags from the last series of Mock The Week that he knew would have me in stitches.
Although it's not really the joke on it's own but the reaction from the other panellists including Michael McIntyre.
The Spurs supporter definitely has to be the finest comedian around in 2009.
